PASADENA, Calif. — Karl Kreutziger has been promoted to president of C.W. Driver Companies, a premier builder serving the Western United States since 1919. Having served in leadership roles on behalf of C.W. Driver Companies for more than five years, 29-year industry veteran will take over the role of president for Dana Roberts, who will serve as CEO and chairman of the board. In this role, Kreutziger will be responsible for leading the overall direction of C.W. Driver Companies as well as spearheading project teams in the preconstruction and planning phases, and overseeing client relations.
“I’m confident that Karl’s in-depth industry knowledge, along with his engaging leadership style and strong business acumen will successfully move the company forward into its next phase,” said Roberts. “In his new role, Karl will be the driving force behind expanding our services throughout California, and giving back to the community in a big way to inspire continued growth and the next generation.”
For the past five years, Kreutziger served as President of Driver SPG, a division of C.W. Driver Companies, which focuses on specialized new construction, renovation and tenant improvement projects. During that time, the company was named one of the Orange County Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Private Companies. Kreutziger and his team had seen a 239% growth in revenue over a two year period and made the list of OCBJ’s Mid-Size Companies at number 11.
Kreutziger has lead Driver SPG through some significant projects, and the most recent projects in Southern California include the Newport Beach Country Club in Newport Beach; State Bar of California headquarters and NeueHouse LA in Los Angeles; Caltech KISS Tolman-Bacher Compound in Pasadena, which was awarded ENR’s Best Small Project in 2014; Chapman University’s Health Sciences Campus in Irvine; and the DiscoveryCube Discovery Pavilion in Santa Ana. Beyond projects, Kreutziger has led a variety of philanthropic efforts at Driver SPG. In 2015, the company donated more than $176,000 to local non-profit organizations and volunteered more than 2,100 hours.
“My first objective has always been to cultivate a unique work environment that emphasizes personal development and involvement in the local community,” said Kreutziger. “As president of C.W. Driver Companies, I will continue to inspire our team members to not only successfully deliver complex, fast-tracked projects, but also be a part of our community’s growth and development.”
“Since joining C.W. Driver Companies, Karl’s role has always been to develop a culture that focuses on delivering the highest quality projects, philanthropy and building lasting relationships,” said Roberts. “He has exceeded these goals and created the opportunity for the company to consistently be named as one of the Top Places to Work by the Orange County Register and Best Places to Work by Orange County Business Journal.”
Kreutziger earned a bachelor’s of science in construction management from California State University, Long Beach and is currently a board member of DiscoveryCube Orange County and HomeAid Inland Empire. Kreutziger won the 2014 CREW-OC SPIRE Award for Superior Performance in Philanthropy because of his passion for giving back to the local community and supporting organizations in Orange County that serve residents in need.
