“Pirates” is one of the oldest and most popular rides/attractions at Disneyland. The purpose of the renovation was to make needed repairs and upgrades to accommodate the hero of the new movie, Captain Jack Sparrow. New theming and animated figures were incorporated into the ride. The project had a compressed schedule and included replacing 1800 feet of track, electrical upgrades, water mitigation and new water treatment facility. The three-level building is now ready to serve the next generation of Disneyland guests.
