The new Student Housing and Dining Commons at Cal State San Bernardino provides much needed freshman housing and dining facilities for the campus. The 416-bed student housing complex, totaling 114,144 GSF, will have two wings, four story’s each. The 700-seat dining facility, totaling 50,296 GSF, will have self-serve and full service food stations, as well as three dining rooms which can be used for general dining or private dining. The project also includes the construction of a new 539-space surface parking lot. Site improvements include multi-use space enhancements to the outdoor Student Quadrangle, large trees, and drought tolerant landscape elements with water efficient irrigation system. The project is being designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
