The renovation of the Dana Point Library modernized the 1976 facility with significant upgrades to infrastructure, technology, and public spaces. Work included new HVAC, plumbing, and energy-efficient lighting; earthquake-compliant shelving; and new finishes such as floors, ceilings, and a turquoise, blue, and gray carpet palette. Cabling infrastructure was upgraded to support stronger connectivity, with hardwired internet access, designated laptop stations, checkout kiosks, and Wi-Fi extended throughout the building and parking lot. The project also introduced new program spaces, including a quiet study room and a teen space, as well as improved staff work areas with ergonomic furniture and ADA-accessible outdoor pathways, sustainable landscaping, and a redesigned entry patio and gathering space.
