Belmont Village of Westwood, CA is situated in a lushly landscaped residential neighborhood in the heart of Westwood. Facilities are designed to accommodate a wide range of activities, provide a safe, comforting environment & foster health, fitness & independence. The 266,200 SF building includes 172 residential units on six-stories above grade with four stories of parking below. Spaces for recreational & therapeutic activies are incorporated in order to engage mind, body and spirit in a continuing celebration of life. Facilities that promote health & well being include a center for life enhancement, beauty salon, library, movie theater, lounge area, pool & multi-purpose room. The kitchen, dining room & bistro space occupy 7,045 SF on the first floor. Constructed of poured-in-place concrete on a tight urban site with limited construction & staging areas, this project required innovative solutions to address issues such as noise, dust, pedestrian traffic, accessibility and multi-level construction.
