Palomar CCD – Palomar College, Natural Sciences Building

This new three-story, 106,000SF multi-disciplinary research laboratory classroom building includes specifically designed and outfitted laboratories to accommodate the study of biological, chemical, geological and physical sciences. The 19 laboratories incorporate premium grade casework with epoxy countertops. Complex plumbing and HVAC systems are used to support the wide range of scientific study incorporated in the building. Additional program elements include six theater style lecture halls, offices, preparation rooms, meeting rooms and conference rooms. Exterior elements of this steel-framed structure include metal siding, brick and EIFS finishes. A range of sustainable systems and materials integrated into the design saves the District approximately $188,000 per year.
